WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:

  • Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and friendliness, creating a welcoming, fun atmosphere for guests at the Brewers Village
  • Offer suggestions and menu guidance to customers
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of the brewery and our beer
  • Master the proper beer pouring techniques and cocktail consistency

  • Operate POS system accurately; process payments via cash, credit, or debit

  • Execute daily opening and closing duties, including opening/closing the Sea Can when needed
  • Open to working during special events, which can include after hours

Brewer Responsibilities: 

Reports to: Head Brewer 

  • Operates and maintains racking and canning equipment and generating appropriate reports 
  • Tracks and compiles both ingredient and product inventory 
  • Build orders, receive shipments, generating associated S&R paperwork and coordinating with the appropriate departments
  • Organize and maintain warehouse, cold room and cellar
  • Assist in general production cleaning duties
  • Operates and maintains filter equipment and performs process transfer tasks
  • Performs, records, acts on cellar process measurements of product parameters, maintaining and conducting tasks in the cellar
  • Records utility parameter logs
  • Performs Krausening tasks
  • Assists in Quality Management Program and generating appropriate reports
  • Operates and maintains Brewhouse equipment and generating appropriate reports
  • Operates and maintains mill, boiler, air compressor, air dryer and CO2 equipment
  • Perform general repair and maintenance

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Preference for training or experience in brewing industry, food & beverage or manufacturing industry 
  • Diploma or courses in Brewing Operations with previous experience in commercial brewing preferred but not necessary
  • Proficiency or education in mathematics, chemistry and microbiology 
  • Proficiency or training in utility mechanics etc
  • Required to lift up to 65kg

JOB DESCRIPTION

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:
Manufacturing Engineer – Lead is a hands-on full-time permanent position centered on operations and continuous process improvement. Focused on Quality Assurance and Packaging with an eye to total process, this is a new and evolving role with the commission of Valley Drive manufacturing site. Total scope of duties may change as the position evolves in this growing company.

POSITION BRIEF:
Engineer Lead will work with Head Brewer and Beverage Team to develop, perform and supervise programs around Quality Assurance and Packaging Process. Initial responsibilities include establishing, documenting and performing a QA program with Brewing/Beverage Team, with an eye to layering QC across and through the manufacturing process with a focus on packaging of final product. The incumbent establishes and maintains accurate records of Lake of the Woods Brewing Co quality assurance, reporting on an Ad Hoc basis including individual batch and EOM requirements.

Key is keeping a critical analytical eye to achieve the best use of human resources and capital, technology, materials and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity from a manufacturing perspective to continually improve process – all the while maintaining or enhancing product quality with the overarching goal of enhancing profitability. Accountable to manage the quality of beer and other manufactured products efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. Engineer Lead establishes and maintains good working relationships internally across multiple divisions. Must be flexible to adapt to the needs of a growing company.

• Previous experience using EKOS or SAP would be considered an asset
• Knowledge of chemistry, quality assurance and testing techniques
• Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data

  • Food expeditors communicate orders and information between the front of house and back of house.
  • Making sure that food is cooked in the right order, quickly, and presented to the customer as beautifully as possible.
  • Make sure the orders are being cooked in a timely fashion, so that all orders for a table are ready at the same time, and make sure that once the food is cooked servers run food to the table while it’s warm and ready. 
  • Explain special orders to the cooks and tell servers when the kitchen is out of a menu item.
  • Expeditors are also in charge of the final presentation of the plate, making sure it is dressed and garnished correctly and free from smudges or spills. 
  • Responsible for basic garnish prep and stock.

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:

  • Display excellent customer service, ensuring all customers have the best possible experience with Lake of the Woods Brewing Co. 
  • Provide detailed information of menu items and daily features
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of the brewery and our beer 
  • Deliver food items to guests in a professional and timely manner, while ensuring the food quality and presentation is up to the mark
  • Provide general tourist information to guests
  • Open to working during special taproom events, which can include after hours. 
  • Work in a team environment and be open to performing other duties as assigned 
  • Handling cash and processing payments through the point-of-sale system 
  • Master the proper beer pouring techniques and cocktail consistency 
  • Maintain cleanliness of the taproom and workstation 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE JOB: 

  • Previous experience serving or selling craft beer would be considered an asset. 
  • Evening and weekend availability  
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be Smart Serve Certified (ON) or willing to complete certification.
  • Effective communication skills, team player attitude, and positive personality. 
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to exceed in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to self-motivate, maintain a sense of urgency and keep momentum. 
  • Ability to stand, walk and lift for extended periods

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:

  • Display excellent customer service, ensuring all customers have the best possible experience with Lake of the Woods Brewing Co. 
  • Welcome customers and offer them assistance, while creating a friendly and inviting environment for customers during their visit
  • Assist customers by helping make suggestions and providing product information for merchandise, provisions, grab & go food and beer
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of beer brands
  • Operate and control point of sale system to process customer orders and conduct payments
  • Performing takeout orders through the Feastify portal and phone-in orders, provide detailed information of menu items and daily features, while delivering food items to guests in a professional and timely manner, while ensuring the food quality and presentation is up to the mark
  • Provide general tourist information to guests
  • Understand and execute promotional activities happening in the department
  • Maintain the Beer & Gear store clean, merchandized, organized and inviting to customers.
  • Accurately track inventory to monitor stocks and ensure shelves are full 
  • Work individually or in a team environment and be open to performing other duties as assigned 
  • Ensure the fridge is stocked with beer 
  • Fill growlers and crowlers for customers and keep beer fill station clean and sanitized 
  • Process keg rentals and returns 
  • Medium to heavy lifting
