WHAT TO EXPECT:
The Bottle Shop & Taproom Associate position is a part-time permanent job that could lead to full-time hours. Flexible hours, weekday, and weekend availability needed. Starting wage $15.80 per hour.
Bottle Shop & Taproom Associate reports to the Taproom Manager. Duties listed below are the minimum requirements, other tasks may be asked of you. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the taproom directed by the Taproom Manager.
WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:
- Display excellent customer service, ensuring all customers have the best possible experience with Lake of the Woods Brewing Co.
- Provide detailed information of menu items and daily features
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of the brewery and our beer
- Help customers make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
- Work in a team environment and be open to performing other duties as assigned
- Handling cash and processing payments through the point-of-sale system
- Master the proper beer pouring techniques and cocktail consistency
- Maintain cleanliness of the taproom and workstation
- Re-stocks beer fridges and clothing throughout shift
- Fills out paper works for keg rentals and returns
- Beer inventory opening and closing duties
- Re-fill growlers & crowlers for customers and keeps station clean/sanitized
- Ability to resolve guests’ concerns or questions using good judgment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively to our team members and guests.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE JOB:
- Previous experience in retail, serving, or selling craft beer would be considered an asset.
- Event and weekend availability required.
- Must be Smart Choices certified.
- Effective communication skills, team player attitude, and positive personality.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to exceed in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to self-motivate, maintain a sense of urgency, and keep momentum.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships.
- Task-orientated and excellent organizational skills.
