GET OUR THERE, ENJOY THAT FRESH SPRING AIR
One of the newer community initiatives we launched in spring 2023 focuses on bringing our staff and community together in a simple, meaningful way. It’s all about getting outside, rolling up our sleeves, and giving a little back to the place we call home.
Each year around Earth Day, we host a community cleanup across Kenora. Participants can choose their own route, whether that’s a neighbourhood, a street or one of the many local trails. It’s a flexible, come-as-you-are kind of effort, with a shared goal of keeping our city looking its best.
Cleanup gear is provided by Tourism Kenora, with additional support from Northern Waste & Hauling, for supplying a dumpster to help us tackle all that trash!
As a thank you, volunteers receive a voucher for a couple of brews. It’s a small way for us to show our appreciation and raise a glass to everyone who takes the time to pitch in.
