Dust off your Lederhosen and Dirndls...it's time to celebrate Oktoberfest style! Big tents, schnitzel, blue and white checkered flags and a whole lotta oom pah pah are added to the mash tun when we brew this German Festival beer. Lake of the Woods Brewing Company's Oktoberfest Lager is a traditional deep gold - light orange color and is slightly hopped to highlight the warm and toasty malt profile. Despite the balance being toward the malt, the taste is not sweet and finishes dry and very smooth. Prosit! IBU: 20, SRM: 15

OUR “ORIGINAL” PILSNER. The original recipe for our Czech Style Pilsner was developed at our flagship brewery in Kenora ON in 2010 and instantly became a regional favourite. First released under the moniker “Papermaker” our OG Pilsner is back under a new name...“Lake of the Woods Original Pils”. This beer is masterfully brewed at our Manitoba Brewery using old-world techniques (it’s Kräusened... Google it!) originating in the Bohemian city of Pilsen back in 1842, where the world's first pale lager was produced. LOWBrewCo’s Original Pils has a rich, complex caramel maltiness with a pronounced yet well rounded bitterness. A classic spiciness from the Saaz Hops is present, but does not linger. Our first beer... now a classic. IBU: 40 | SRM: 5

Cheers to conservation! @ducksunlimitedcanada and Lake of the Woods Brewing Company have teamed up to celebrate Ducks Unlimited Canada Day on March 17th, with a special brew just for you! Enjoy Lucky Duck Wild Rice Black Lager while supporting conservation in Manitoba. Smooth, dark beer with a rich yet crisp profile. Despite its deep colour, it has a clean, light-bodied finish with a slight toasty sweetness and a crisp lager snap. IBU: 24, SRM: 40

Here’s a thought - sometimes the choices we make lead to a course of action that seems to lead inevitably from one action, or result, to another with unintended consequences – and then another, and so on, and so on… sometimes for good, sometimes for bad. Skiing down a double black diamond and zig instead of zag – that could be bad, very bad. Quaffing Lake of the Woods Brewing Company’s latest small batch Slippery Slope Sour Wheat Ale – good, very good. As the thin edge of the wedge, Slippery Slope has aroma notes of floral, lemon and fermentation with a burst of sour sharpness and complexity in taste. This snowballs further with fresh ginger and fluffy wheat sweetness creating a domino of butterfly effects with every sip. Slippery Slope Sour Wheat Ale – a camel’s nose in the tent. Best consumed Après Ski with deep thoughts. IBU: 23, SRM: 18

This rich chocolate cherry sour dark ale greets you with aromas of chocolate and maraschino cherries. The dominant chocolate flavour comes from generous amounts of organic cocoa added during both the boil and finishing stages. Behind the chocolate, subtle maraschino cherry and almond flavours emerge from Italian cherries that have been fermented in their own juices, then mashed and macerated during secondary fermentation. A soft tartness lingers pleasantly, inviting another sip. Subtle notes of chocolate, nuts, and biscuit malt round out the profile. Dark brown in colour with a red hue, topped by an off-white head and featuring a full-bodied mouthfeel. Available in a 5oz tasting glass or add it to a flight!

Say hello to summer with "Tropic Like it's Hot Pineapple Mango Session Ale". This tropical fruit bomb screams hot days on the dock, beach or in your backyard. With pronounced mango pineapple aroma and a subtle hoppy finish on the nose, this beer is light in body with lively carbonation. Flavours of mango, pineapple and stone fruit with a slightly grainy-malt character. No lingering or astringent bitterness. Enigma and Sabre hops with pineapple and mango puree create a tropical brew even S-N double O-P, D-O double G would enjoy. IBU: 20, SRM: 6

This exceptional Lake of the Woods beer is step-mashed with regional malts to which local wild rice is added into the brew (harvested just down the road on Shoal Lake). Tippy’s unique mash bill gives the beer a distinctive flavour profile; full bodied with copper & nut with mild hop & all Northern Ontario. Wild rice, also known as Manoomin, translates to ‘the good berry’ in Ojibwe, has played a major role in the lives of the Ojibwe people in our region for centuries. IBU: 25, SRM: 12

In March of 1906, the Montreal Wanderers (now the Montreal Canadiens) won the Stanley Cup from Ottawa and retained it until they met with the Kenora Thistles hockey team in January of 1907. The Thistles traveled to Montreal and cleanly beat the Wanderers in a best of three tournament, winning the first game by a score of 4–2, and the second 8–6. KENORA IS THE SMALLEST TOWN TO HAVE EVER WON THE STANLEY CUP! 1907 Scottish Cream Ale is a mild beer made using traditional ingredients. Hops are minimal and Heather flowers have been used instead for bittering and aroma along with honey for a delicate sweetness. Pale Ale malt is used as a base in addition to wheat, rye, oats and caramel malt. The caramel malt contributes colour and toffee flavours, the rye adds a distinct spice and the oats are used for body and head retention. IBU: 23, SRM: 5

Brought back from our beer archives, Hopocalypse Now is an American Style Black IPA, brewed in traditional IPA style. With a hopped-up nose that smells like victory, its bitter hoppy flavour is balanced with a distinct toasty, dark malt character. Devil's Elbow Helles Italiano is our April Charity Pint! In support of the Kenora Nordic & Biathlon Club (KNBC) Light the Trails Campaign! We will donate 25¢ for every pint of Devil's Elbow poured this month. When the world was young the Devil (aka Mephisto, Louis, Mr Nick,… Daryl) went down to Lake of the Woods to escape ’the details’ and an endless night - but really to just hang and get on some lake time. Born was Devil’s Elbow - an underworldly mash up of an ancient Munich Helles exorcised with the body of an angelic Italian Pilsner. Sessionable omen meets prophetical needful things - conjuring a crafty lager mash up that’s possibly the best that’s ever been. Thornbury Vanilla Bourbon Cider delivers aromas of sweet Madagascar vanilla, fresh apples and spice; the mouthfeel is soft and rounded with flavours of bourbon, vanilla and caramel followed by a long complex finish.

Last Call Rye Ginger Ale - a bold, smooth drinking ale perfect for slaking one’s thirst at the end of a long day stomping through the bush.
