GET OUR THERE, ENJOY THAT FRESH SPRING AIR
One of the newer community initiatives we launched last spring was aimed at fostering staff and community engagement. We organized an event that brought people together to enjoy the outdoors while also making a positive impact on our city. The event, which took place on Earth Day, involved picking up trash to help beautify our surroundings. Participants were given the freedom to choose any location they preferred, whether it was a street, a neighbourhood, or one of the many nature trails scattered throughout the city. To facilitate the cleanup process, garbage pickers were generously provided by Tourism Kenora. We were thrilled to see such an incredible turnout!
As a token of our gratitude for their invaluable help, volunteers were rewarded with a voucher for a complimentary case of beer. This small gesture served as a heartfelt thank you for their dedication and contribution to making our city a more beautiful place.
