In the Community

Lake of the Woods Brewing Company cares about the environment. As good stewards, we are constantly striving for a healthier, greener planet Earth.
We are wholly committed to planting trees in our region, to help offset carbon emissions. We are going to plant red pine saplings.  A lot of them.  In May, staff and owners are headed outdoors to set down some new roots: more than 2,000 in total. In 2018, we planted 2,500 small saplings. And, we are going to plant saplings, each and every spring, from now until 2022!
You can help.  For every 4-pack of Papermaker that is purchased – we will plant one more red, pine sapling.  Together, we can make a difference.

At Lake of the Woods Brewing Company, we believe in giving back to our community & region. The CHARITY PINTS Program is designed to make a difference in the communities of Kenora, Lake of the Woods region, Thunder Bay and Manitoba.

Every month we pick a craft beer. Then we donate $0.25 of every featured pint sold in the Taproom & Growler/Crowler sold in our beer store, over the course of the month. By choosing the CHARITY PINT, you are supporting our social impact investments. There’s never been a better reason to join us for a pint or to take-away some beer to share with family and friends.

In 2017, the CHARITY PINTS program supported:

The building of the outdoor stage at Anicinabe Park.  With our donation to the GoFundMe campaign of $12,000 – Lake of the Woods Brewing Company enjoys naming rights to the stage for a three-year period: The Brewers Stage!!

In 2016, the CHARITY PINTS program supported:
